Drawer boxes are constructed from 1/2" furniture-grade particleboard with mitered and glued joints, providing consistent dimensional stability and smooth drawer operation.

Helpful guides
Understanding your closet drawings+
Your drawings show how each section of your closet is arranged and how the design fits within your space. Review the renderings, floor plans, and wall elevations together. Review the dimensions shown against your actual space, including ceiling height and the placement of doors, windows, trim, and other obstructions.
Before you approve: measurements and room details+
Confirm that the drawings reflect your selections and storage needs. If anything looks incorrect or is unclear, contact your designer before approving or ordering.
Hanging areas, shelving, drawers, and accessories+
Review each storage feature in your drawings to confirm that the layout works for the items you plan to store.
Hanging areas
Double-hang sections provide two levels for shorter garments, such as shirts, folded pants, and jackets. Long-hang sections accommodate dresses, coats, and other longer items. Consider your longest garments when reviewing the space below each rod.
Shelving
Check the number, spacing, and depth of shelves for shoes, folded clothing, baskets, or other belongings. Some shelves may be adjustable, while others are fixed as part of the system. Confirm with your designer if you need a specific opening size.
Drawers
Review the quantity and placement of drawers, along with your selected front style and hardware. Make sure drawers have room to open without interference from doors, trim, or nearby sections. Soft-close features are included only when specified in your selections.
Accessories
Confirm that any requested accessories, such as hampers, jewelry trays, belt racks, or valet rods, are listed in your final selections. Items shown for styling in renderings are not included unless specifically listed.
Make it work for you
If you need space for a particular item, share its measurements with your designer before approving. This is the time to confirm that your storage needs are reflected in the final layout.
Baseboards, trim, outlets, and other obstructions+
Existing features can affect how your closet fits and functions. Review your drawings to make sure your designer has accurate measurements and locations for anything that may interfere with the system.
Baseboards and trim
Include the height and thickness of baseboards, along with any door or window moldings. Depending on your design, these details may affect placement or require adjustments during installation. Confirm any necessary preparation with your designer and installer before beginning.
Outlets, switches, and vents
Identify electrical outlets, light switches, air vents, and access panels. Include their dimensions and locations so the design can account for access and clearance. Any electrical or HVAC changes should be handled by a qualified professional.
Doors and windows
Account for door swings, window trim, sills, and handles. Check that room doors, closet drawers, and pull-out accessories can open without interference.
Other obstructions
Let your designer know about sloped ceilings, soffits, beams, attic access, pipes, radiators, or uneven walls and floors. Photos and measurements help clarify how these features may affect your layout.
Before approving
Confirm that all existing features are accurately represented or addressed in your project notes. If anything is missing or your space has changed, contact your designer before approving or ordering.
Preparing your space for installation+
Preparing your space ahead of time helps installation go more smoothly. Review your final drawings and the installation guide for your specific system before beginning.
Clear the space
Remove clothing, shoes, storage bins, and other belongings from the installation area. Keep nearby walkways clear and allow room to unpack, organize parts, and assemble components.
Remove existing components
Arrange for the removal of existing shelving, rods, brackets, or other items that conflict with your new layout. Check your project notes before removing baseboards or trim.
Prepare walls and finishes
Complete any necessary wall repairs and painting before installation. Allow patched areas and paint to dry fully according to the product instructions.
Verify the space
Compare the actual space with your final drawings, including wall dimensions, ceiling height, and obstructions. If anything differs from the approved design, contact your designer before installing.
Plan for installation
Print the installation guide and design guide PDFs attached to this packet and keep them available during installation. Printed copies will not be included with your closet shipment. If you are using an installer, share both guides and your final drawings with them in advance. Have the tools and hardware required by the installation guide ready before beginning.
Keep the area accessible
Provide a clear path from the delivery or storage area to the installation space. Keep children and pets away from tools, loose parts, and the work area during installation.
Receiving and organizing your order+
Taking time to check and organize your order before installation will make it easier to locate the right components as you work.
Check your parts
Use the parts list in your design guide to review the components and hardware received. Compare quantities, part numbers, descriptions, dimensions, and finishes. Keep small hardware items together and clearly identified.
Inspect before installing
As you unpack, check components for damage or other concerns. If anything appears damaged, missing, or incorrect, take photos and contact our claims department using this form before installing the affected parts.
Organize by space and installation area
Group components by the space and installation areas shown in your design guide, such as Area A and Area B. Keep the corresponding shelves, vertical panels, rods, and hardware organized so they are easy to locate.
Follow the installation phases
Your design guide includes an index with the recommended installation sequence and references to the corresponding installation guide pages. Follow these phases and use the diagrams for each area to identify component placement and hardware locations.
Keep both guides nearby
Use your design guide and installation guide together. The design guide provides your project-specific parts list, diagrams, and installation sequence, while the installation guide explains the assembly steps.
Care and cleaning+
Keep your closet looking its best with gentle, routine cleaning.
Dust regularly
Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust from shelves, panels, drawer fronts, and hardware.
Clean gently
For everyday marks, use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Wipe away any soap residue with a clean, lightly dampened cloth, then dry immediately.
Avoid excess moisture
Do not soak surfaces or allow water to collect along edges, seams, or hardware. Wipe up spills promptly and avoid steam cleaners.
Skip harsh products
Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, bleach, solvents, and furniture polish. Test any cleaning product in a small, inconspicuous area before wider use.
Protect surfaces
Lift items rather than dragging them across shelves. Use care when placing sharp, rough, or wet items inside your closet.
Follow accessory instructions
For accessories with specific care requirements, follow the manufacturer’s instructions. If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for your finish or hardware, check with our team before using it.
